All classes are taught from a worldview in which the Godhead is the basis of where we have come from, all that we are, and all that we will become. "He gives to all life, breath, and all things...for in Him we live and move and have our being." Acts 17
All Tutors at Bridge Tutorial Ministries adhere to and teach by the following statement of faith.
What We Believe: The statement is not intended to be a summary of all the truth of Scripture, but to specify basic key truths that we hold.
The Bible. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and that it is the only completely trustworthy guide for faith and behavior (II Timothy 3:16-17).
God. We believe that there is only one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4-5). The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are co-equal in power and glory (Matthew 28:19).
The Son. We believe that Jesus Christ became the infinite God-man when He took a human body and came to live on earth (John 1:1, 14). He died on a cross as a voluntary substitute for our sins. He arose from the dead three days later (I Corinthians 15:2-5).
People. God has made every person in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27) for the purpose of accomplishing His work on earth. God creates each individual person the way He intends, as uniquely male or female. But because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, they fell into sin, and all their children became sinners (Romans 5:12). As sinners, they are separated from God and, apart from His Grace, are incapable of choosing or doing anything that would be acceptable to Him (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3).
Salvation. Salvation is the gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life which God gives to those who receive Jesus Christ by faith and repent (John 3:16). At the moment of salvation every trusting sinner is born from above (John 5:24) and placed into the family of God (John 1:12).
The Future. We believe that Christ is coming back, bodily, in the same way He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-11), to receive His people to Himself (I Thessalonians 4:15-17), and to judge the world. We believe that all people will be bodily resurrected, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to eternal punishment (John 5:28-29).
